Finnair nonstop flights to Delhi india

Finnair begins daily nonstop flights to Delhi, india. Thanks to the excellent geographical location of Helsinki on the great circle route, the flight time to Delhi is only 6 hours 30 minutes.
"Our route is the shortest between the europe and India, so it is of genuine interest to travellers between the destinations. Advance demand for the route has been great, even though we are only just starting the flights. We have also seen a big increase in demand for air cargo from India to Europe", he says.

There are relatively few frequencies from the whole of Europe to Delhi and no direct connections from Northern Europe. The new route has excellent connections to Delhi from Scandinavia, the Baltic Sea area and whole of Northern Europe, with short flight times even to London and Paris. In the Delhi-Helsinki direction, quick Finnair connections serve to around 30 cities in Europe. Delhi on the other hand is the main airline hub in India and offers excellent connections to the rest of the country.

The Delhi route is Finnair's tenth Asian destination and a natural continuation to the company's Asian strategy. Finnair has been systematically increasing its number of destinations in Asia since 1999. Already a third of the airline's revenues result for scheduled traffic comes from Asian routes.

Finnair flies in China to Beijing and Shanghai six times weekly, to Hong Kong and Guangzhou three times a week. At the end of 2010, Finnair also increased the number of direct flights to Osaka, Nagoya and Seoul. A new destination, Singapore, will open in May, and in June Finnair will increase the number of flights to Hong Kong. Next summer, Finnair will fly a record number of 74 flights per week to 10 Asian cities.
