As part of the agreement, both the daily direct flight from Brussels to Washington dulles airport, and the new daily service to Chicago O’Hare, which was started at the end of March by United Airlines, will be offered by Brussels Airlines.
The partnership between Brussels Airlines and United Airlines is not limited to just direct transatlantic routes. With a transfer in Chicago or Washington, Brussels Airlines passengers can also travel on to Boston, Denver, Dallas FW, Austin, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, Tampa, Houston, and a number of other destinations in the US. As these destinations will henceforth be codeshare destinations, SN flight numbers will also be placed on these flights by Brussels Airlines.

Henceforth, United Airlines passengers can fly with Brussels Airlines to various European and African destinations, via Brussels Airport. From 6 April, the flightcode “UA” will be added to a number of Brussels Airlines flights. In total, United Airlines will add 24 European and 12 African Brussels Airlines destinations to its network.
United Airlines is one of the founding members of the global airline network Star Alliance, which Brussels Airlines recently joined in December 2009. Passengers from Brussels Airlines who make use of this new codeshare service can earn and spend Miles & More loyalty award miles. Similarly, members of United’s Mileage Plus programme can earn and spend miles when they fly with Brussels Airlines.

Brussels Airlines 3 weekly flights to Shanghai

Brussels Airlines offer its customers 3 weekly flights to Shanghai. The Chinese metropole thanks to a new nonstop flights of Brussels Airlines’ partner Hainan Airlines.

The Chinese port Shanghai is one of the world’s largest cities and is considered as China’s economic and financial business capital. Many Belgian enterprises have a plant or business activity in Shanghai.
Thanks to the new scheduled service of Hainan Airlines, operated in co-operation with Brussels Airlines, Shanghai will be directly connected to Brussels as from today, 28 May. Brussels Airlines will sell tickets under SN flight number through their travel agencies and own sales channels (website, call centre, airport ticketing desks). All flights will be operated with modern Airbus A 330 of Hainan Airlines.

Flights are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Departure out of Brussels is planned for the early afternoon and the return flight from Shanghai arrives in Brussels in the early morning.

The schedule matches perfectly with the Brussels Airlines flight offering to dozens of European and African destinations. Many smooth connections in Brussels are possible.

With the addition of this new service to Shanghai, the economic centre of China, the partnership extends since henceforth there are daily flights between Brussels and China.

To help ensure that its First Class customers can spend as much time as possible in the new lounge before their flight, swiss air has also enlarged its First Class check-in zone, a move that should significantly speed up the check-in process. The new First Class Check-in Lounge offers guests additional check-in desks in an area that is physically separated from the rest of the check-in concourse. In addition to an appealing new design based on an aircraft fuselage, SWISS First Class customers can also look forward to exclusive check-in service and comfortable seating in the new facility.

Another addition to the Zurich check-in concourse is the new state-of-the-art Airport Ticket Office, which has also been substantially enlarged from its predecessor and is available to all swiss air customers. The new Office’s physical separation from the Business and Economy Class check-in desks should help enhance the ticketing services offered. And in a further innovation, Lufthansa is represented in the new Airport Ticket Office with its own dedicated desks.
