San Jose to Shanghai China flights

American Eagle Airlines Provides Easy Connections From San Jose to New Shanghai, China, Service From Los Angeles International Airport. American Eagle offers six daily flights from San Jose Norman Mineta International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport.

"We're delighted that we can give San Jose passengers more convenient connections to American's cornerstone hub in Los Angeles," said Gary Foss, Vice President – Planning and Marketing for American's regional network. "Our six daily nonstops now make connecting to American's new Shanghai service easy. And there are more Asia-bound flights through American's Los Angeles cornerstone hub which offers convenient connections throughout the oneworld® global network."

San Jose and Shanghai are both centers of high technology and innovation as well as world-class trading communities. American Eagle's six flights to and from Los Angeles complement American Airlines service to American's cornerstone hubs in Chicago and Dallas/Fort Worth. The Shanghai flight departs from Los Angeles at 3:10 p.m. each day. All this is part of a major expansion of the Los Angeles cornerstone hub that will see 33 more than 30 flights added today to 15 communities for a total of over 150 daily flights.
At Shanghai's Pudong International Airport (PVG), customers will enter Terminal 2, close to American's oneworld partners and providing smoother, faster connections to other chinese cities. More than 200,000 travelers flew between Los Angeles and Shanghai in 2010, with Los Angeles accounting for more passengers to China than any other U.S. city.
To celebrate the china service expansion, American is offering customers the opportunity to earn triple AAdvantage miles by flying on a purchased First Class or Business Class fare on LAX-Shanghai, adding up to more than 20,000 miles for a one-way trip. Customers who fly on a purchased LAX-Shanghai Economy Class fare can earn double AAdvantage miles. The bonus miles offer is valid for travel between April 5 and June 30. Customers can also earn double AAdvantage miles for travel on any of American Eagle's nine new domestic routes to and from Los Angeles. Registration prior to travel is required.
